More than 10% of net users are going online with the Firefox browser, show figures from analysis firm One Stat.

Hell thats a lot considering the time its NOT been around, the amount of people with different browser alternatives!

The global average of 11.5% is the highest percentage of users that the open source browser has ever reached...so firefox are doing well!

Microsoft still hold over 80% of the market here, the thing is will this ever change?

Internet Explorer 7.0 was ok but it only offers so far, what Firefox offers.

The figures, gathered from a sample of more than two million web users, show that Firefox's market share has grown by almost three percentage points since April 2005.

In the end will you use IE7.0 or Firefox?

OK, this is what i wonder. are they counting the downloads? I know i have downloaded it at least 3 times on every computer i have it installed on because of updates. I have 4 computers, that would be a minimum of 12 times just for me. I actually have installed it a lot more because i run up to 4 OS's on each computer. If any of you are like me, we are always reformatting, so i think if they are counting the downloads, their numbers are a little off. :)

Honestly, neither... If I got the initiative, I'd make my own.... BUT I'm too lazy and I don't have the time with my job and all. HOWEVER I do recommend Maxthon :) It's a very nice tabbed browser, good layout, nice features, and it remembers the pages you last visited, so If I exit out of the window right now, come back in 5 hours and open Maxthon, this page will load... along with any other tabs I have open.

Maybe they count and divide the bandwith off their download server by how much copies take up to d/l...

I think what red said is more probable, number of bytes downloaded divided by the size of the file
