It works and some guys were very happy!
But Internet with 28.8 or 56 K is not so fast, isn't it?
So I wanted to find a solution...and I find it here:
HIROSHI posted it and ( I will name it Rasphone XP-TRICK) its that easy:
When you have a Dualboot System, aka VISTA and XP so you will find a nice file here:
C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Microsoft\Network\Connections\Pbk\rasphone.pbk
Please take that rasphone.pbk file and copy it from within Longhorn/Vista to the Longhorn/Vista Dektop.
Then rename it to Rasphone XP and start it.
"Administrator" is not right, please change it to your Providers Account Name. As German AOL User to:
and your code and you are back again in Internet with PPPOE/DSL-speed!!!!
Nice, and that easy!!!
So we will be able now:
- To dial with MODEM
- To dial with PPPEE/DSL (needs Dualboot with XP, Windows 2003 I will test...)
- To use WINDOWS SIDEBAR (YES!)
P.S. Aditional Tip! :
It also worked with Dual-Boot VISTA and Windows Server 2003!
Same folder as in Windows XP!
And to end the connection? Only klick/double-klick once more at your new icon Rasphone XP or Rasphone W2K3 and choose Hang up!
