RIM is reportedly going to officially announce the BlackBerry Bold 2 on October 21, but a new unconfirmed report says T-Mobile USA won't begin offering it until a week or so later. This carrier has begun sending some of its corporate customers invites to events scattered around the country where a new device will be unveiled. These events are all scheduled for the first week of November. T-Mobile doesn't specifically name the smartphone that will be the star of these shows, only describing it as "the latest in Wi-Fi Calling-enabled BlackBerry devices."
Still, this is almost certainly the BlackBerry Bold 2. This carrier has dropped several hints about its plans to offer this model, and has made an open secret of this device's support for its Wi-Fi calling service. And while the image that accompanies the invites gives only an outline of the product, it matches the pictures of the Bold 2 that have leaked out. It's possible these events will precede the actual launch. A previous report said the debut date for this smartphone will be Nov. 11.
