Here's an interesting Video, what would you do if you were HIM. I see 2 flaws,

1.) I couldn't go anywhere without saying goodbye RIGHT before i go
2.) I didn't think mail these days moves that fast. At least in the States, sometimes it takes 5 days to get mail from East to West

I think he said he told her goodbye the night before. He may have had a flight in the early morning.

What are you referring to in regards to mail moving fast? Those were emails...?

Honestly, I don't think I would have done one bit different. If I already told her that I'm leaving for two weeks and she can't listen, then it can't really be my problem anymore.
