images/news/microsoft.jpgWould you like a virus or blue screen of death with your coffee? Welcome to the home of tomorrow, powered by Microsoft.

Buried somewhere in CES this week, Microsoft and Fugoo demonstrated domestic devices running Windows, including a Chumby competitor internet alarm clock and a digitial photo frame. The press release though included a picture and mention of a Windows powered coffee machine.

Hmmm, I wonder if it could sync the coffee into my mug if I'd put it in the all-famous coffeemug holder?

How sad, I mean really. I can imagine the future having computerized homes ( even more then currently) but to think that I would trust M$ to make coffee... thats just insane. Besides I prefer my beans to be freshly ground by the native penguins who grow them. :chriso:

The xbox has already been hacked to run Linux, so... a coffeemachine? what could be more complicated?

But, you must agree, a coffeemachine that you can start with your phone/laptop/desktop-pc... it can be handy, give a go command, get a message when the coffee is done!
