images/news/internet.jpgBack in October, Comcast slapped a 250-gigabyte-per-month cap on bandwidth usage on its customers. Go over the limit once, and you'll get a friendly reminder from the cable company not to scarf so much from the trough. Do it again, and you may find your Internet access cut off.

I argued back when the cap was announced, if Comcast is going to place a limit on users' bandwidth, the right thing to do is to provide customers with a way to measure it. And Broadband Reports says that, early next year, the company's going to do just that.
