For the registry way simply navigate to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\Current Version\Winlogon and find the SFCDisable and change the value to ffffff9d.

For some reason on Server I have this problem of it not acutally turning it off, for stuborn machines, or for a safer way try this

Click Start then Run type cmd, then click ok and type

sfc /PURGECACHE

hit enter when it's done close out of command prompt and you are done

Don't listen to Visentinel... okay, well really you should it isn't a good Idea, but if you think your virus protection software and firewalls are good enough you can give it a shot.. I keep churning out these guides as I come up with stuff I wanna do with my computer and spit em out after messing around a bit.

Its just that i don't see any reason for it, you can get around SFC to mod specific files like uxtheme.dll and tcpip.sys no problem and keep the rest of your delicate system files safe

Switching this of is risky, make sure your really up for it and before you turn it of count in your head 3 good reasons to turn it off.

A True gamer doesnt care about this stuff coz hes to busy playing Games.

All a gamer cares about is having state of the art hardware and overclocking every last drop of mhz >=)

LoL in all my time geeking it up with windows I'm yet to find a good reason to disable SFC, in my book keeping it going keeps my windows safe from tampering

Well that's just the thing, I'm a different kind of geek, I mod stuff in this case I turned it off to mod the uxtheme.dll file and the sysdm.cpl files, they have to have the SFC turnred off in order to keep them the way I changed theme.

Nah, when you change the file SFC ask's if you want to keep the changed File.

Mine still deletes the file, even if I tell it I want to keep it, then it asks if I am sure I tell it yes, I check it, it's not the file I just changed it to. My computer is just stubborn.
