Blu-ray copy protection sees the light

images/news/dvd.jpgThe current AACS protection isn’t enough. The company Xprotect comes with X-Protect Blu that should become available in Q3 of this year. The company claims that the copy protection will be compatible with all Blu-ray players, but no details about the technology used for the copy protection are given.

The developers do claim that the protection can be updated frequently and easily and that no special actions have to be taken during the authoring and replication process and no additional equipment has to be bought.

But dont panic just yet...

Strangely enough the company also claims in its press release that it is a leading manufacturer and distributor of anti-piracy products but there is hardly any information available. A quick search on the internet learned us that the guys of AnyDVD HD already found out about the protection, and broke it…
