When you take a close look at the animal kingdom and compare it to human society, you can see that where al la bunch of cavemen with fancy technology when you simplify it
We fight for territory, Natural Resources, Land to grow food, much like Dogs piss a tree to mark their land, and Lions own their Hunting Grounds.

when running electricity over wiring, Increasing the voltage on a cable does not require thicker wiring becuase higher voltage simply means the electrons flow faster, however when increasing amperage you increase the density of the electrons and this heats up the wire when you use to much wattage and the wiring cannot sustain the power flow.
P = I x V (Power = Current x Voltage) = Watts
Ok so what if for POE they ran the voltage at 5000 Volts and only a few milliamps, its easy to place a small power regulator on all POE devices to convert the 5000 volts down to say 5 volts and their would be enough amp power to power even the most power hungry devices, or even 15 or so volts that laptops use like a fully blown Laptop switched on Gaming + recharging the battery
My take on this is i doubt the voltage on POE will pass 60 volts just to keep the whole thing safe, since RJ-45 inst exactly safe to the finger if their was 5000 volts running thru the cable.
They may only have 15 watts running over POE right now but let me state right here that the potential for actual power capacity over a Cat5e or Cat6 Cable is astronomical, thanks to also the fact that you could run multiple channels of 5000 Volts through the cable, since theirs 8 wires in the Bundle you can either choose to increase the Amp load and share the load over the 8 wires for a more powerful single channel or run 4 separate channels.
