Both can make a large difference to the computer, but surely one must do more for you!

i dont tweak hardware (if your talking about overclocking), so i choose software tweaking, although one must help the other if the system wishes to perform well

I don't over clock on purpose... My computer just decides "Hey I'm going to run at a higher frequency today"
