i just updated my Firefox install, and right after, i found my email client (thunderbird) would error out. i went to check the program files, and attempt to start thunderbird with it's .exe, and still the error. and then i noticed that the firefox .exe was also in the thunderbird folder! and the weirdest thing, there was no firefox folder in program files! so i decided to uninstall firefox.
after this, i still got the email errors, so i downloaded thunderbird again, and reinstalled over the existing files. it works. then i deleted the firefox .exe (which was still in the thunderbird folder), downloaded FF again, and reinstalled. this worked, and my bookmarks were still intact along with cookies, etc...i would avoid the latest firefox update, or just go with the FF 3 beta4...
