http://en.wikipedia....(ornithologist)

Quote

The real Bond was born in Philadelphia and worked as an ornithologist at the Academy of Natural Sciences in that city, rising to become curator of birds there. He was an expert in Caribbean birds and wrote the definitive book on the subject: Birds of the West Indies, first published in 1936 and, in its fifth edition, still in print (ISBN 0-618-00210-3).

Ian Fleming, who was a keen bird watcher living in Jamaica, was familiar with Bond's book, and chose the name of its author for the hero of Casino Royale in 1953, apparently because he wanted a name that sounded 'as ordinary as possible'.

Interesting MO, you find some neat stuff. But while I have your attentinon...in the little picture that is your avatar, why do you have the abbreviation for the state of Maine? Are you from Maine and that is your way of saying "Hooray" for the old home state? I understand if that is it and you know me, I can just have to ask those difficult questions...talker. :dribble:

Hmmm....I always knew there was something very "special" about you Michael. As for Carlos, he is not sure where he is and his Tom Flooze henchmen, oh well. I am still waiting for my Moderator's t-shirt for Christmas from him. Let's see, that was 2 Christmas ago. Must have gotten lost in the mail...reckon? And it took me a minute to catch the "as carlos deleted my sig on pamd". I feel like such a dope. I removed the sig the instant that that wee light bulb went off in my pea brain...DRAT, sometimes I amaze myself. Well, all of your secrects and location are safe with me. Remember, Priests are suppose to help you hide, not rat you out....hee hee...Bill.

Oh no, I did the revealing...I have a bad case of blind mouse finger. My finger is blind and I never know what will happen when I click the mouse. My current sig should be a little better to the point. I am such a dweeb. I think I will go over into a corner, get into a fetal positon, stick my thumb in my mouth, and stay there 'till time for Church Sunday. Perhaps that way I will limit my less than bright moves...sigh...

I couldn't understand a single word of the conversation. :dribble: Lack of skills in English or lack of madness? Except the James Bond thing.
