i honestly don't see any speed increases, atm (just installed CS3 and Vmware last night, but haven't used them), though in cinebench and everest, it rips through the multi core tests like butter :dribble: i notice a difference in how the intel system handles a single threaded app, compared to the amd rig: the first core goes 100%, and remains there, while the others stay rather dormant, unlike what i'm used to seeing, where all the cores take turns sharing the load. these are early observations...

Wow, had expected to see the large copper colored coolers, but it's been awhile since I've seen Xeons, and these being quad is altogether different. Nice!

funny. I'd think the higher load on one core would produce more heat than if they were spred out. And yet it runs so cool. :lust: I can't get over all those memory slots

Nice looking rig

But for $2800 plus options I think I'd want to build my own like MO...

Plus they put "Leopard" on it- which could be a plus or minus depending on if you're a Mac fan or not.

lol, yeah, true. the virtual thing is cool, as your prerformance is not impacted. i was running ubuntu in vm, folding, and ripping a movie while doing a virus scan, and running word really really really fast... :mail1:
