images/news/vista.jpgJust moments after Microsoft rolled out its last seven patches of 2007, security experts were prognosticating all over cyberspace, mainly pointing out the overwhelming number of fixes related to the Vista operating system in the December release alone. Eric Schultze, chief technology officer of St. Paul, Minn.-based Shavlik Technologies, even went so far as to say 2008 would be the year of the "Vista Patch."

It looks like IT pros won't even have to wait that long to get a gander at some of the holes to be plugged via hotfixes and security patches in the forthcoming Vista SP 1 release. Microsoft this week released a comprehensive list of more than 300 security hotfixes to be included in SP1. Many of the fixes -- ranging from the OS itself to related applications and services such as Internet Explorer, Excel, Visual Studio and even Unix migration -- are already in existence from successive Patch Tuesdays and can be downloaded and patched individually. But there are lots of new issues as well.

According to Redmond, among the major aspects of SP1 will be improved remote security, especially regarding Remote Desktop Protocol files. RemoteApp programs can be accessed remotely through Terminal Services but appear as if they're running on the end user's local PC. Redmond is stepping up its commitment to security for desktop users communicating with servers running Terminal Services.

At least its maturing and we are getting the fixes. Service Packs are free and will eventually be the software it was meant to be... XP was not all that great in the first year either and look how it turned out.

Yep, I know, XP Sucked hardy in the first couple of years.. even Microsoft not so long ago understood that, and was forced to Modify, more like redesign systems core

But that's not Excuse, nor fox Vista nor for other operating system... Like, come on Microsoft, you developing operating Systems since 1985.. Ok, for the first versions it was Ok to have lots of security bugs, but it continues through years and years..
Now in 2006-2007, They releasing Brand new Operating system, and again Malware can with Easy get into your system, like Sinner can get in Hell..

Soo lets say that, yeah.. Vista is a completely new operating system, and that it is Ok for it to have soo many security flaws.. But is it really so NEW.. was it created from a scratch ? noo, it was practically based on XP.., soo why again we have those pretty basic Security Holes in it ? why again it is so easy to get into it ?.. well, that is the question that can't be answered, Microsoft f@kked up new OS again.

But wait.. maybe there is and Explanation.. huh ?

Lets try to remember, what we had "received" When Windows Vista was released...
We received:

OS with No proper, Stable drivers..
Lots of Security Flaws..
Lots of Overall system bugs, that was and is now degrading systems performance, and causing our beloved BSODs, app crashes etc.

And why we had those issues ?

The answer is simple, The Operating System was released too early, Software Development kits was Far from being perfect, lets say mild, they was Shitty

So I shall repeat again, the Reason of Poor operating system that we have now, is because Microsoft was too hurry in Getting another couple of Billions, instead of Creating powerful, reliable, and the most Important thing - Secure OS..

Yes, to create a Bug Free Software is really really hard, and for such a huge "one" as an Operating System it is practically impossible, Still No one Asking for that, no one asking for 100% perfection..
But god, more than 300 Fixes, when the OS just showed Up, and it is basically not new, is the way too many..

so who to Blame ? Microsoft.. who must be ashamed with having hundreds of Security holes ? Microsoft

:friends: So you got the point, OS was released too early, and that's the reason of this huge Reply Message.. he he :cc_surrender:
