Futuremark has a new site up showing realtime Benchmarks. It has a ticker that shows scores as they are submitted around the world, the fastest system on the planet and some other stuff. Pretty cool

Cool, i like it..
But still, this is quite useless, like who needs to know that a guy from Japan got 11K 3Dmark points on Hes system ? =) I think it is obvious, that the more expensive, OCed, hi-end system you have, the more points you'll get

That's pretty nice. And Bear I think it's interesting to see also how similar systems can perform very differently from one another. It can push people to tweak their system to try and reach a better performance than the others with the same/similar setup.

Well yes, I agree with with you.. partially..
Why partially ? because yes, it is interesting to see how similar systems can perform, but, not in This 3D mark way..
1st of all we only getting Basic information about "X" computer with 3D Mark Log.. Operating system, basic hardware..
We not always can see What Power Supply was used, what external devices was attached, what revision of hardware was used.. where it was produced..
and the 2nd really important thing, we should not measure Systems performance by just 3DMark points.. the system may perform poorly with 3D mark, but may give Slightly higher performance in Crysis for example, if comparing two systems.. that looks sort of Similar.. Overall i can't tell everything I want, due to my Lack of English Linguistic skills, but you got the point
All in All, yes I agree with, but while comparing two systems, they should be Really Identical..
