One of my cousins decided to build a new machine and asked me for doing this. He told me he wanted a powerfull rig with a good but not very expensive video card. After some time discussing on the subject we decided that he should get my CPU and my vcard for a fair price... yes, they are quite new parts ! He already has 1GB DDR2 667 MHz and one 80GB Seagate IDE HD. I recommended him a P5B or P5W mobo and a 600W PSU to complete the stuff... it is a good move for a guy that has a K6-2 500... For me I found an 8800GTS for US$ 435,00 and an E6320 (4MB L2) for US$ 196,00.... Considering the price average here its quite good.


My Bday is next week and i am pretty certain that i am gonna have some help with budget ...$$$...lol... thats what i call an useful gift, better than some surprises...

I ended up with a XFX 8800 GTS 320 MB. After 1 week waiting anxiously for the parts the store sent me an email telling me that they wouldnt have the 640 MB model in the next 3 weeks. After some hard discussion on the phone i accepted the 320 MB model for US$ 325 + a cool MP4 player (arround US$ 100,00) + a US$ 50 discount coupon valid for 6 months. Not so bad, a total of 475 for my 435.
