In the WallSt. today, it mentioned that JRR Tolkien's son finished putting his fathers final book togather (all based on the notes dad left).
The book, 'The Children of Hurin" takes place 6000 years before 'The Lord of the Rings' era and is set to release on Tuesday.

** Like the AMD Quad Core ... it's only been in the works for 3 decades now.

Cool. I hope it's not as coma-inducing as The Silmarillion.

Will it be made a movie, everyone knows any good book is made into a movie eventually.

(I hope no one takes that comment completely serious but I do wonder if it will be made a movie perhaps a prequel of sorts, forgive since I am not knowledgable on this subject).

I thought that the Silmarillion was more like a history book than a story.
This one is supposed to be a story line book. Taking place way before ... it's tied to the evil that cursed (forgive the spelling) Mordorv / I could be mistaken.

And on the movie ... I'm sure it will, but look how long the Lord of the Rings took. They came out ... well, a long time ago!

You'll have trouble finding a bigger Tolkien fan than me ! It sounds pretty interesting. I hope it becomes available around here soon.

I'm a big Tolkien fan as well. I've read the whole Hobbit and LOTR's at least twice all the way through.

And I liked the Silmarillion, personally. I think it read like Tolkien's own creation myth, and I prefer it to the Bible and other similar tales. :chriso:
