I bought one in early feb. In early March It would lose its video, It would say no vid signal.
I sent it in, RMA, Had alittle hassle getting the RMA form, they wanted me to print an fax it. I dont have a fax machine, so I got ahold of customer service an they emailed me the correct form I emailed it back. They even supplied the UPS Shipping label, I only had the monitor for about a month and had paid shipping to get to me. However they received the monitor on March 26th but I have not received word or anything from them. I called them today an they had no record of it. They did find they had received it but they dont know where it is or the status of it. I Hope they find something quite soon they said they will email me by tomorrow I hope so, I didnt want to pay that much money for something an not even get to use it.

cam, the Sceptre monitors always sounded "too good to be true" for the price. i have checked them out for years, and have always wondered how they would hold up. i really hope this issue is resolved for you in a timely fashion :friends:

I did have almost the same problem with my Princeton LCD, i sent it in, and didnt hear from them. Turns out where i sent it was a authorized Princeton repair facility. (that is why they didnt know where it was) The repair facility did contact Princeton and notified them it was DOA, and Princeton quickly shipped me a new one.

also, if you continue to have problems with your new monitor, ask them if there is a diagnostics code you can push in (using a sequence and combination of buttons you push on the panel) which allows you to hard reset your panel to factory specs.

I still have the 19" Sceptre I bought at the same time I got the motherboard an vid card from you mo in feb of 2005. It is holding up very well. I am hoping they will send me back a 24" or bigger, monitor for all the trouble, lol but I am sure that will not happen.

I have a Sceptre x22wg-Gamer. I have a laptop attached with VGA, desktop with DVI, and PS3 with HDMI. I love it, never had any problems with it.

I'm sure they'll send you a new one if they lost yours.

Yup thats my exact monitor. even if they didnt lose it I think they will send me a new one, I dont know if mine is going to be fixable. It started out just not resuming from sleep mode, then it just progressed to no longer having video input. I tried with the DVI an the VGA the only one I didnt try with was the HDMI.

Brew one question, do you cover that BRIGHT blinking Blue led when your monitor is not in use?
or do you turn the monitor off? That is very annoying, they should have made muted an no blinking. Maybe change color like most do.

I have the 22" Gamer too. The only complaint that I have is the white blead on black screens. Not bad by any means, but I know it's there.

The only other thing that made me wonder was on a system reboot (or even sleep) the monitor looses signal. When it wakes up ... I get the DVI Signal found! like it's excited or something.

... like a puppy

Which plug do you use?

** Oh yeah. The build in speaker suck rocks!

Yep DavARei, I know what you mean, I dont use the speakers though, I use the DVI but for testing I used the VGA as well.

most of the reviews that I had read pointed to issues with the DVI dying off. But, I'm a DVI kind of guy :friends:

The other most common issue was 2 to 10 dead pixles.

So, does the VGA plug work good? Or both are carp?

Well by the time I got around to testing the VGA port I was getting no resume from sleep and the VGA did the same thing, But the quality looks about the same as far as I could tell.

Well I called them, they still have not found it, they said call back monday, they will prolly replace it. I hinted they should replace it with a better one. However I dont know what they have that is better? they said they have 23" monitors, but I looked on newegg site an didnt see any that was better then the monitor I have. The 23" monitor has 1366x768 res.
