I have an ac shoulder separation, and broke my left collar bone, was in the hospital from 6-9, then drove back from iron river.
(snowboarding)

Im told they may need to operate on the shoulder and I may need a pin in my collar bone, oh ya, and I broke my insulin pump (diabetic) .

last night at Snow Brule, at about 6:15 on the course rapids (Terrain Park) the guy had just packed the jumps and I did not think it would make THAT big of a difference, When I went off it I was on my heals and should have been on my toes, I kinda cork-screwed and landed on my upper back/neck. Yup, I was going to try to go boarding with Chriso if there was still snow...but I don't think thats going to work now. :davex:

Wow dude, i hope you get better soon! Good to see you're taking it like a trooper!!

if this had happened to David Heavey, he would be in ICU right now with tubes sticking out of him, a quad bypass done and probably 3 transplants.

I remember when he sprained his little toe on a pillow, they had to do a hip replacement on him! :friends:

It must be a pretty bad break if they are talking operations and pins. I just got the standard horse collar to keep my shoulders pulled back when I broke mine. Heal up quick GS. :chriso:

Ouch that sucks. I don't get to go snowboarding much, lives in south :chriso: , but I love it. I hit a jump and landed on a patch of snow iced over and slipped and slammed my head into it. I kind of blacked out for a min or two but nothing like your situation. Hope everything goes good.

Well I am (Somewhat) experienced, I was at Ski Brule on a run called the rapids (hardest course double black diamond) its a terrain park, I went off the largest jump on every run (12 or 13) and landed every single one (actually kinda rare for me to land every one) On the last time down (was not planning on it being my last) I had a good feeling and at the last second turned into a second jump right after landing the first one.

The First Jump was at least a 6 foot jump, its big, the second one is small, possibly 3 or 4 feet, as I was going full speed when I hit this dinky jump at an angle it turned me around and over and I landed on my upper left shoulder/neck area.

And guess what? Im Left Handed. :)
