Good golly mrs molly!!!!!!!!!! That is crazy!! But like they said, it won't be for the consumer market. 1080p will stay the standard for a long time I think.

Rounding out the first set of new 1080p models will be the TX-42F430S, a 42" model with 4 HDMI and 2 component/composite with a $2000 MSRP, and the TX-47F430S, a 47" display with the same inputs and a $2500 retail price. Both will be available in April.

LOL, you guys!! I have a 720p LCD in my room. And my dad has a 1080i TV. I have ran my HD-DVD drive on both of them and you really can't tell a difference between the two. However, the difference between 720p and 1080i to 1080p is night and day!!
