A mind-bending array of futuristic gadgets tailored to the Internet and home life will be unveiled this weekend at the annual International Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas.


More than 140,000 people from around the world are expected to attend what is billed as the largest trade show of its kind and a launch pad for culture-changing innovations such as the video cassette recorder and the compact disc player.

The "hottest products" from 2,700 exhibitors are to be on display at the 40th annual International Consumer Electronics (CES) show, which runs from Saturday through January 11.

This is one show i would love to attend. What about you??

Maybe next year I'll go see my cousins, they live in Vegas. And while I'm there, I'll wander around CES with the camera.

I went to CES 2003. The big booths, like Microsoft, Nvidia, Toshiba, etc. are worth seeing, but most of the small booths are pretty boring. And Bill Gates' keynote address really sucked that year. He talked about SPOT watches mostly...

It's worth going to if you're into that kind of stuff.

Plus, the Adult Entertainment Expo is always held in Vegas at a nearby convention center at the same time as CES. Coincidence? I think not.

Ecosol Powerstick:

You plug the Powerstick into a USB port to charge it up. It takes 90 minutes to top off. No word on how long it will hold that charge once you dump it into your backpack or pocket, but it's got enough juice to fully charge a Blackberry. The handy LCD readout on the side tells you just how much "gas" the Powerstick is holding. When one of your portable devices runs out of energy, you connect it to the Powerstick—it has a universal adapter on one end, and will come with a variety of connectors for phones and MP3 players. Once you've docked it with your device, you press the start button and your gadget starts drawing power just as if you'd plugged it into a wall socket. This certainly has advantages over the AA cellphone Turbo Charger I'm seeing sold at every drug store nowadays.

i like it. i can see it being pretty handy for people like me, who forget to charge the phone at night :crazy:

Just got through watching MS's keynote at CES 2007, i must say i was impressed Watch it if you get a chance!

Yup, I second that!!! I had a great time watching it as well!!! Bill did a great job for being nerdy!! The Ford guy on the other hand sucked!!!
