On this day at @ 7:55 AM local time, a sleeping giant with a great resolve was awakened and the United States was plunged into a war that Great Britain and most of Europe had been fighting for over 2 years. From what came to be known as the Greatest Generation, men and women from around the globe fought a war that forever changed the face of the world. My Father was one of that Generation. In his honor and the honor of all that served and are serving, I remember this day and what started out to be a beautiful and quiet Sunday morning and ended almost 3 1/2 years later...talker.
