LOL... great for me I suppose. Christmas is coming a bit late. I have the DFI LANPARTY UT ICFX3200-T2R/G on order. Guess I'm a glutten for punishment. I have 2 of their Infinity 975 G/X boards and they are superb. The new board could be a can of worms. I also have the Coolkit Elite on order. http://www.petrastec...com/pecoel.html sooo... some rebuilding is in order.

Don't go back to work till next Monday so things are OK here. :davex:

What's the output of grep EE /var/log/Xorg.0.log?

Try running Xorg -config and if it doesn't crash, exit with Ctrl+Alt+Backspace and do a cp xorg.conf.new /etc/X11/xorg.conf.

when I try running Xorg -config it says bash not found or something like that.
How do I check the output of grep EE /var/log/Xorg.0.log?

retried it, with a space before - an it now says fatal erver error?
Required argument to -config not specified

tried Xorg -config -ignoreABI
It says Fatal server error:
Cannot move old log file ("/var/log/Xorg.0.log" to "/var/log/Xorg.0.log.old"

Just type grep EE /var/log/Xorg.0.log at the prompt. It should tell you what the error is. I'm guessing the correct modules aren't loading or something.

Sorry, that's the wrong command. Try xorgcfg to set it up automatically. If that doesn't work, run xorgconfig to do it manually. They need to come up with some more self-explanatory names for commands. They're too similar...

So I sent the ram back and I am waiting for the refund and I will but some ddr2 ram and a matx board...Intel (or Int'l :yahoo: as they were going to call themselves) have no real good mobos yet in matx... :yahoo:
