The 8800GTX in SLI

AMD's "Quad Father" 2 (new socket) FX chips on one MB, running 2 8800GTX's, and a 7950GX2
I was told by an AMD rep, this "should be on shelves by the end of the month"
He also told me they "don't expect it to compete with Intel's Kentsfield"

The EVGA has some Voltage options that the ASUS does not (and the muliplyer is caped at X60 on the EVGA for the X6800)

Well I could not tell you from experience, but an nVidia rep told me EVGA was a development partner, and thus where given a couple extra BOIS options

From what I heard and saw at NWPE, they are all basically the same (all made by nVidia, and marketed by whoever has there name on the box. The same can be said of the 8800's)

EVGA, and XFX offer a better warranty on the VGA's, I don't know if this is the case for MB's
As it is ATM, one brand really has no edge over another regarding performance
(I could stand to be corrected on this, but I think EVGA will be the only one with FSB voltage options in the BIOS on the first release MB's)

The graph is structured to look better than it is, It shows the percentage of gain over the 7900
I do know the 3DMark 06 record of 16K+ was set by 7900GTX's in SLI, and that k|ngp|n just broke it at 17K+, using only one 8800GTX
(I'm sure it will be over 20K as soon as the 88's are publishable on the orb)

I will be running benchmarks all weekend, running 2 88's in SLI, so we shall see

RJ always has rocked the house. The question would be...how did he get 2 8800GTXs past the wife when he couldn't sneak in a newer vapochill? LMAO! You can take the 5th RJ. We'll never tell! Promise!!! :banj0:

BTW...been there. Done that. Had to work OT on Sundays while my buds snuck me and the race bike out to the races and back. I got busted big time. She saw the garage door open and came to investigate. I was changing into my work uniform. My buds saw her and peeeled out leaving me to face the music alone. Careful bud! We want you around these parts for a while! FWIW... the frying pan with steak inside missed. That's why I'm still here. Since you raced your beemer at Laguna, you probably have the drill down! Just consider me a corner worker waving the yellow flag.
