Thanks chriso, much better. Since I don't game it is really of little significance to me but I like to stay a little informed...talker.

Hey Talker, I'm not much of a gamer either. That said it will help eveything (visual especially). I have never regretted an upgrade of dx.
It's a good thang

The BIG thing I like is the new geometry shader, I have been keeping up with its news for some time. What it does is it takes a single triangle already formed and lets it be broken into a few smaller triangles, more polygons with not as much work as older versions.
This deserves a mo

OK, so DX10 sound like a good thing. If it will improve the overall visuals I look forward to it. However, it will be a while, more than likely, before I can afford a DX10 GPU. How sad...talker.
GSG-9, here is something to go with the Readme file below your sig....
Friends are where you find them, enemies are where you make them

Hmm, I didn't know that the X1600 would be able to handle DX10. The sig is correct. The GPU is the Sapphire version of the X1600 Pro with 512 MB of DDR or DDR2. How would that handle the new DX10?...talker.
