So who is buying the G80 today then?

I will be waiting, probably a long time.
I can't find any of these cards for sale in the US yet. Neither Newegg or TigerDirect have anything listed.

chriso, did you hear about the resistor probs on the cards? i wonder if this has any bearing on the delay?

Yeah, I reported on it in the 8800 section under member submitted news. However, yesterday it was reported that engineers were flown out to the manufactuerers to replace the transistors in all the cards and they were now all fixed.

still $450US is too expensive....... i'm gonna wait for the 8800gt hopefully it doesnt suck, i noticed theres a noticeable difference between the gts and gtx, so the gt.........

well if i can get my tax money in december i will be able to get a gts (assuming i can find all my financial records..), no clue if i will get one

Sweet man!!! I would wait to see what the R600 does though!! I will wait until then for sure! Even if you still want to go with the 8800 at least the price will drop then!
