Whine can be found through your package manager.

Installation happens through running the following comment:
#wine /cdrom/dvd/or/windows/installer/location/here.exe
That, if supported, should start the installer.

Don't worry, everybody has it's favorite... though I wonder why gnome users like gnome so much... imo, it sucks... but well... you like it, as long as it works right!

I just wish I could merge my two bars into one and get the eye candy-ish of KDE. I just don't like the feel of KDE

I did give it a try though

Transparency can be set somewhere in the control panel, but since you have an ATI card, that's a no go... ATI doesn't support transparency yet... sadly

about a .cgwdtheme file? I don't know anything about that... Usually, themes can be installed in the correct part of the control panel... you don't have to unpack the theme yourself actually then...

You need to get your themes from kde-look or gnome look, those can be installed through the control panel under "appearance and themes"

At least, for KDE it is...

The problem from what I now notice is you don't know how to find the things in Linux... so... I'd say, start discovering where everything is, so you get to know your way around, and then start tweaking...

Anyway, if you need te get to know anything, I'll always try to help you out, gimme a PM if ya want my MSN/ICQ addy!
