I think needing a 450watt psu to run a whole computer is not bad at all, im sure most of you have 550+ Models.
And I will admit I feel like I have to have it, but I felt that way with the 6800Ultra...and I did not get that, and I felt that way with the Ageia cards, and I did not get that.

Extreme PSU Calculator

You can check out your watt consumption there :yahoo: :P

I cant argue with the benchmark results for the 8800 though :cool2:

I have no optical drives in my computer so with my overclock and a 8800GTX (Which will not fit in my case) I am at 399Watts, so as far as watts go I will be fine with a 8800gt.

PS is a barrel of fun!
Was not trying to lessen the fun btw It just seemed like everyone thought that was a lot and I was happy I would not need a 600watt psu (Which I cannot get my hands on in M-ATX)

Edit
(From the Inq.)

"The gigantic 8800GTX may have some serious trouble fitting in some cases, being a whopping 28 centimeters long. In comparison, the ATI X1900XTX is "only" 23.5 centimeters long. The NVIDIA 8800GTS is shorter, at 24 centimeters, and only requires one power plug. Both cards have their power plug(s) at the top of the card, and have coolers that are 4 centimeters thick."

Yay! One Power Plug!!!

Well, I did that power calculator thing and it said that my 750 watt will be just fine with room to spare. I even set it to SLI but then it said would need like 790 for my system. Then again their power consumption is a guess.

Glad I went for a 'Stacker' then...... :yahoo: :P :gsg9:

608W by the way.......non-SLI.....a difference of 11W between 7950GX2 (clocked) and 8800GTX :cool2:

That figure is based on an overclock to 4Gig :bike: .....I also have Watercooling and the pump consumes quite a bit :yahoo:

I selected 'Dual Core' in first option?......dunno if I was supposed to along with E6600 selected?

LOL :D
