Well.......life is sure a testing bed for patience!......

LOL......my new Viewsonic monitor is Fuc@@d!!!!!!!!!!!

After a long night of thinking it was drivers......maybe even the G8800?......nope......it cuts out like a baby......never ever ask me to pick your lottery numbers!

Tested 3 other monitors tonight and all fine......this ViewBasteringSonic thing proceeds to cut out and 'click click' at the drop of a hat....oh dear its back to square one!

Called them for RMA and they are OK but I have to send it back  ....more expense!.......

Think I'll go put my head in the Microwave on 900W for 2 mins........ :yahoo: :yahoo: :)

Nope buddy......and while I'm on a 'rant'....

This M/B has been badly designed!

The MCP is way to hot (if you touch the pipe then your skin melts) HOT!!!.......who designs a M/B with the chipset less than half an inch from the CPU??.......they give you a fan (which I am using) to cool it down....but what does this do?......it directs HOT air into the CPU!!! WTF!!!..........OK....don't use the fan but hot air goes one way......UP!.....into the CPU!!!

Apart from that.....it's running fine......lol......god I'm mad tonight

Posted my concerns at Evga

Sorry buddy.......not a good night!

How would I know?.......monitor wouldn't stay on long enough to test it!

Apparently the Viewsonic has been having DVI port problems recently and there is yet no fix for this..... :yahoo:

Not gonna take the risk of another being the same......the Dell is ordered and on its way and have sent the board & Viewsonic back today.

Gonna fit the ASUS back in to see if I get better luck.....lol......

That's sad man! To bad to hear about the Viewsonic! And as far as the board goes your must of been defective!! I replaced the thermal paste on mine and it runs nice and cool!! I can touch the block, the pipe, or the heatsink all day and not hurt my hand. I totally love this board!! Best mobo I have ever had!!

Yeah....maybe I just got unlucky buddy?....who knows?

Another thing that put me off was the 'thin' support available.....too long in waiting for BIOS fixes for my liking.

The P20 BIOS will be released tomorrow but according to one guy I spoke to.....who is testing the new BIOS......there is nothing to shout about! Quite a few angry users over at Evga ATM with various problems.

Anywayz.....got the ASUS board up and running and am just waiting for it to 'spark' and die to complete my week.....

Should get the monitor tomorrow so we will see what that holds in store?.....lol
