Was the Swiftech Res a pain? From reviews on NE it almost seems the res should be a throwaway and a DD floppy res substituted. Was the Swiftech res difficult to mount/ find a place for? Was the leak installer error?

Just things readers of this thread need to know.

The Res IMO can be done away with and a T-Line fitted (I may do this later).......its by far the weakest part of this system due to it being plastic......I was over cautious in tightening the barbs on the Res so as not to split the plastic threads and so probably caused the leak by doing so??.......

The Res is easy to mount as it has various brackets supplied....all of which I never used because my Stacker case has holes in place for mounting the Res in the place where I have it.....

When I first filled the system and started the pump I thought 'ohhhhhhh nooooo' as it was a touch loud for my liking.....it remained like this for 20mins or so and suddenly ceased!.........probably air trapped or something?

It's been running now for over an hour and I cant even tell its on!! (pump is on full speed) I keep checking to see if its cut out......lol.......but it really is that quiet. :P

I had to stick a screwdriver in the Rad fans to see if they were actually running!....no kidding!......lol

All in all......a great piece of kit and highly recommended!....of course temps will tell later
