Nah....heap of junk buddy

Loaded up my beloved Half Life 2 to play through again and it runs at 250-300fps all settings Max.....but weird fogging on distant objects?.......dammed annoying!

Turns out it ain't even a driver problem.........Valve are working on a patch so the game will run properly on an 8800.......

Ah well.......new Tech for ya......lol!

Well.....got my GPU block today along with Ramsinks (which incidentally cost more than the block!) as I need 3 packs of them (8 in each = 24).......so all ready for fitting on my G80.......just waiting on RJ's G80 bracket getting to me as I cant fit until I receive that .....RJ??.........lol.........RJ!!!! :headset:

On another note........

I also got this RAM cooler from OCZ.......

Well after much deliberation......the thermal adhesive pads on the MC14 heatsinks just ain't gonna cut it.

Many are having big problems getting them to adhere.....and if they do adhere.......then they fall off after short periods of use!! NOT GOOD!

Recommended replacement thermal interface is the new THERMATTACH® T412 ......expensive but darn good and recommended by XS Forums. ($25 per sheet) :moreilly:

Have ordered from above site....as they ship to the UK OK.......so more delay in fitting

PDF info HERE awesome!!

Hoping to get before Xmas.........but I wont hold my breath....lol.
