I know there are tools out there that can speed up your internet connections by just installing a little program that basically renders a poor sites bandwidth limitations helpless and I was wondering if anybody knew of some. I just can't for the life of me remember where they are O.o Can you give me som Help finding them?

That or maybe some tweaks to make pages load faster?

ShadowFox~

Depending on what Browser(Internet Explorer, Firefox or what have you) you use will depend on what "tweaks" can be applied.

They can be as simple as a setting in the "about:config" in fire fox to as "complex" as some registry tweaks.

MOST of them will help the pages load quicker ... not necessarily increase your bandwith .. and of course as im sure you know it will also depend on the traffic the site is recieving at the time you are trying to acess it.

Oh, I too am a "Maxthon Brother" and I am ALWAYs on the lookout for "that which will speed up my connection". Infact nothing makes my head snap to attention faster than those damned promises to "increase your internet speed" . I have tried every tweak, proggy, and promise 2, 3, 4 times over. Usually with marginal success or worse. Actually usually worse. And I'm still a sucker for the "promise", "THE TWEAK", the whatever. And normally I'll undo it and reboot to Win's default with the top speed that I can obtain. That said I have found only 2 things that actually make more than a temporary difference. #1. Buy a faster connection though your ISP. And #2. http://www.cfos.de/t...c_shaping_e.htm
This does cost about 12 bucks (good for life). It is free to try for 30 days. After 2 weeks I bought it because I didn't want to loose it. It does make things better. It does not rip open your download speed. However it does make your connection much better. Check out the link to the explaination page above.
So far it is the best connection enhancer that I have found other than paying the ISP for more speed. :storm:
And 64-bit too!

A little program that I got from Camaro some time back is TCP Optimizer. This is the early version. It does not install as with the later versions. You merely click the EXE file, it will open, you set it how you want, and then reboot. All done. It has been the best that I have come across...talker. :cool2:
