wow this is the first I have seen this topic, ya I would hate to have that software shoved down my throat. it would be tough but I think I would go back to dialup if it came to having that or no broadband.

Creepy, I have no software on my computer from my isp's, Used it on my laptop to set up the router then uninstalled it, its never been on mini-box (Thats what I named my computer).
I did it so that I did not have extra stuff lying around, but if they can turn off your computer then they can also retrieve data from your hard drives...or worse, in the wrong hands someone else could,
