I don't think you'll pass me. I'll keep adding machines if I have to inorder to stay first.

I'll try the smp client sometime in the next few weeks.

Thanks for the new member usm!! Look forward to the extra power and friendly competition.

Yeah, I get a little carried away sometimes chriso. I am very limited on hardware and that will not likely change anytime soon. But you get my point, one 64 bit Linux box with one 64 bit SMP client will out perform 3 Windows boxes including dual core Windows boxes. And dual core 64 bit Windows boxes can run VMware/Linux and the SMP client which will also boost our teams points. I will lay low on this subject now, I have made my point. :chriso: ;) :friends:

i have a question. I have a 64bit system, but am running XP32bit. If i were to run XP64, would that improve my folding performance?

Yes and no, there is a Windows SMP client now but it still requires dual core at the least. Smokes the normal Windows client but does not compare to the Linux SMP. If you have a dual core Windows 64 bit system you can run VMware (free download) and Ubuntu Linux right in windows and no dual boot is required. :friends:

ok I'd like to add my athlon 900mhz to the team (just finished putting things together so it's a complete machine), which client would be best ? Since it's not 64-bit, I guess I have to go with a Windows Client but I'm not sure. If so, I'll get the Console.
