Im tinking of doing some OC for my AMD 64 chip, when is it time to look for an aftermarket cooler vs the stock. Right now im running at a cool 90F normal load. I have never seen it higher than 112F

If you have the dual core, with the heatpipe stock cooler I have heard it is very good.
Alot of people put stock in Zalman cooler's, I currently have the gigbyte Rocket pro cooler. it does the job well enough, but I think there might be a better one.

Zalman CNPS700B-Cu for my CPU and a Zalman VF700-AlCu for my GPU... works like a charm!

i'm using a couple of zals (9500) on the smp mobo, and am very pleased with the results. nvy, i have a bunch of water cooling stuff for sale cheap, if you are interested...

My CPU is OC'd to just over 2.6 (from 2.0 stock speed). I had the Zalman CNPS7000B-Cu which was pretty good. My CPU temps never went over 45c on full load. But I bought the Akasa Evo 33 two weeks ago and I'm thrilled with it. It dropped my temps by another 4c. Oh, and it's far light than the Zalman too. One thing about the Evo 33 is it's tall. 106 x 76 x 118mm is the size. I'd recomend the Evo33 in a heart beat for air cooled at a good price €50 ($60ish).
