I got my electricity bill today, $570.00 U.S.

I live in California, and Yes we had a rather hot month for July, and i did use the Air Conditioner but not while i was at work and generally cooled the house to 78F when i was at home. Previous bills are about 131.00 to a high for a hot month being 200.00. I understand Southern California Edison had a price increase, but this is rediculous!

I am honestly thinking about installing Solar Panels on my house. Was wondering if anyone knows about them. I do know they are expensive, but in the long run it seems that it may pay for itself. California gives rebates as well as tax credits plus surplus electricity that gets generated goes back to the power lines.

yeah, they are expensive. a friend of mine lives in a very rural area, and relies on panels, and a generator ever so often. one of our customers installes systems ("realgoods.com"). i'll ask and see re: price...gee dave, that's a tall
bill.

It sure is, im figuring about 15-16 thousand, but rebates and tax credits should bring it down to about 9 thousand. I just wonder what panels are the best!

Bookmarked it buddy!! Thanks! that would be a great addon to solar panels, as we get wind up to 65-90 MPH here in the winter! with that and our wind, i could power our neighborhood!
