Henry Harteveldt, a San Francisco-based travel analyst with Forrester, sees Wi-Fi as the next frontier in in-flight communications. "The era of hard-wired phones on airplanes is over," Harteveldt said. "We're moving toward an environment that allows customers to connect to the Internet via Wi-Fi."

When you travel, do you really need an internet connection in flight? What are your thoughts?

Truthfully, i see it good for communications like Instant messaging, but i dont think i would need it to surf the web  I wonder how much its going to cost?
