The new album from Rise Against, thanks to my sweety who bought it for me on internet, and have it delivered at my place at exactly 1 minute to twelve (that's about 15 minutes ago)
So sweet! (although the music is just rocking loud)

Alice In Chains. Down In A Hole, unplugged. For a "grunge" band, they really understood theory and used vocal harmonies differently than any rock/metal group before.

Yeah, I totally agree. I still remember reading the Guitar World interview with Jerry Cantrell in like '93 or so when he talked about his father, the Vietnam vet that Rooster is about, attending his first AIC show. Jerry said that, after the song, his father was in tears waving his Stetson. They had been estranged but that show brought them back together. Great band.

Just a bit of trivia, but AIC is the only group in music history that had an EP debut at number one on the Billboard 200 with Jar of Flies. The funny thing is that their record company didn't want to release it. After the success of Dirt, and, especially the single 'Would?', Columbia thought that their acoustic stuff wouldn't sell. :cc_surrender:

Here's my all-time fave AIC song:

"Over Now." Damn, AIC rocked! :cc_surrender: Hope I'm not spamming the thread but Alice In Chains put the rock in the roll!
