Dream Theater - Metropolis Part 2: Scenes From a Memory

A concept album with which they made a DVD with a kinda show-movie-theater play. Realllllllly cool. Their best album IMO.

Actually, Dream Theater albums are pretty much all concept albums....

edit: the part 1 was a song on a previous album. very good song.

Hog, I am your fellow Dream Theater fanatic. If I were to ever catalog how many hours I've spent trying to play Petrucci's lines---well, let's just say that I'm a guitar nerd by birth. And John P is #3 on my list of people that I truly believe are from another planet. :yahoo: Not to disregard the band as a whole nor any particular lineup, and Portnoy is fine in my book, but how JP comes up with his stuff, let alone how a human could play it, is unreal.

PM me if you wanna swap Dream Theater dork stuff. I have some live shows, some videos, some unreleased stuff..... I don't know if you play but I also have an old school video of JP giving a guitar lesson.

And, if you have a good sense of humor about stuff like this and don't take it as making fun-----> guitar nerd joke with JP playing and someone basically owning up to the fact that Petrucci is unreal... Link :cigar:

Prog rock owns.

Hey! I've worked NAMM booths! Nashville, Anaheim.... that was time workin' hard!

By working, I mean staring at the Digitech girls jumping on the trampoline and getting free LSD from that dude that plays bass for Type O Negative. :RJsPC: :(
