Hey when i try to install the public version of windows vista, It get's to expanding files then says "Failed To Mount The Windows Image File" or something along those lines. If it gets passed that error it hangs at about 14% of extracting the file this is really strange. I have never had anyproblems with the vista betas apart from the public one. I tried the same dvd on a friends computer and it worked.
My PC Spec just incase u need it is:
Intel P4 530 3.00ghz
512mb PNY Ram
160gb Seagate Baracuda Sata HD
Nvidia FX5200 128mb GFX Card
Any suggestions would be nice thanks.

It may be your sata drive. at startup, It should ask you if you need to install any drivers, add your sata drivers, then continue the install. Also burn that DVD at the slowest setting you can. some writers just read better than others

you can put them on a CD/DVD and pull your Vista disk, Do you have an old IDE HDD around, try it
