Which one is the best and for what?
Today the MOST important thing for everyone is security, how many programs do you need to stop those viruses, how many patches to stop hackers taking advantage of the holes in IE?
Firefox is BY FAR the best one for the job!
Today people want to feel protected and safe, it took till SP2 for MS to implement the pop-up blockers and Active X control notifications...Firefox has that right there already in their browser.
The result? Security!
So next is the look, at the minute IE6.0 is NO-WHERE as nice as the Firefox browser, people love the tabs that stop all those cluttering windows...taking sometime for MS to catch up with that and although in it's early stages, IE7.0 is by no means impressive...to be honest it seems more of a Firefox rip!

My last full system virus scan picked up some adware in Firefox and nothing in IE!
Maybe its time to try Opera

firefox works great.. especially the tabbed browsing, but i still prefer ie because of its integration into the rest of the xp shell and how quickly it'll open up a window when i click its icon
