Your Recycle Bin DOES use up potential space before you even use it.
Right click the icon on your desktop, click properties and slide it down to about 4% or to wherever you want.
The percentage is of your disk space, when you alter the amount what happens is that the Recycle Bin won't take any more deleted files.

why don't you just delete the stuff out of teh recycle bin or hold shift when you delete something to avoid the recycle bin all together.

dats wat i always do too. theres no point puttin something in the recycle wen u r tryin 2 get rid of it in the 1st plc.

yeah me too, but this was just incase someone did like the tweak, cos whether you use it or not, this saves space.

yeah, its a useful little thing windows has never really mentioned, and unless ur told about it (as is done here), ya never really know its there!! so its still good to know
