I of course am curious about extending the range about 20 miles. I realize the problem most likely wont be sending but receiving signal. So does anyone have an idea on how I might be able to accomplish this.

walk around with a huge antenna strapped to your laptop??

You could wait for the new 8011.n type, but anyway this will extend your range to some tune...miles literally.
