Do you ever Remote Desktop PC's on your LAN or over the Internet?
What Application do you use?
I use NetOp, a powerful Remote Desktop Application that leaves the client machine logged on, you can turn their keyboard on/off and blank the screen...the other features are excellent, but the biggest plus in using NetOp is the SPEED! Its like being at the computer your taking over when used on a LAN.

I always used Radmin
. To install software, to fix minor problems and XP issues on my sister's PC. And also help another friend which still has a LAN connection with me, but only plugs it in just in case
