Last nite i got a chance to install Vista, It took a little while, but it did install without me once touching the computer. After a little cruise around, i found it to be very plush and easy to learn. I did notice a few bugs but they will get ironed out.

I will post a few screen shots here as a tour around Vista! Feel free to post yours! :)
Also feel free to post bugs you find or buggy screen shots too

Remember the other builds had the machine check for DWM in them?

Well all you need to do is turn it off in this build...here is how.

Create UseMachineCheck, put that in HKCU\Software\Microsoft\DWM.

Hopefully that should work.

*i see no reason this won't work for 5259 if its correct for 5270*

Thanks :) I didn't use 5259, but I heard that they changed the way user settings worked for 5259...i didn't know that it was in HKCU...\DWM now...thanks again :D

Edit: It didn't work :)

yep, updated hardware :) fast, much more stable than previous betas...
still 40 minutes install on a raptor :( can't wait for raid :D

...and WMP still is goofy (using MC, everything is smooth).

untill now. 5219 was way less buggy (yes, these are early betas). a waste of time
to download/install atm. just reformatted the 5270 drive :D hopefully beta 2 will
give a real picture of things to come. 778 megs @ idle :D i don't get it...even 5259
was way less buggy. i am not a rocket surgeon :)

there are a lot of improvements to the way it runs, but there are still some inefficiencies, bugs and i think that the log on screen sucks compared to the black one that used to be! overall a 7/10 id give it

yeah, after reinstalling it this morning, and having no high expectations,
i would agree with clarky, 7/10. i just like listening to tunes whilst fiddling
about, so if anyone has a player they like that doesn't crash, please post
and/or PM me :) i hope everyone has fun with it.
