I don't really know. I'm always behind my server and/or a router. Since my server is also working as a second hardware sort of firewall, I don't need any on my used system. Though I do have McAfee firewall installed.

I like the hardware factor though me and X2P had problems in the past with online gaming, it was too efficient :D

Yeah, Im a hardware firewall person myself. I do use Windows firewall, but I have disabled it a few times, and nothing has happened otherwise. I do not even have antivirus or antispyware on some of my machines. My hardware firewall in my router seems to do the trick.

I like to leave Windows Firewall on (as useless as it can be) for a just incase. Every defense is something else for a virus or anything else to get through.

I currently am behind:
One hardware router/firewall
followed by a server (which currently only works as local file server)
Then another router, Linksys (Anyone know a good upgrade of Firmware for those things, I got a WRT54G)
Then there's my computer, which runs on an Intel Pro 1000/s Ethernet adapter, which has a build in security monitor. Can't really call it a firewall, but it does work a bit, I tried hacking with my laptop, and I got a message from my NIC on my screen that unauthorized data transmission was happening.

No, I'm just behind a lot of stuff :) as you see, two routers, a server and a secured LAN card :(
Try hacking me! I'm even willing to give you the access code to my modem!
