My rig was out cold after aborting an install of Vista. While it was out the CPU saw a tunnel open up and a bright light drawing it in (must have been fiber optics). The CPU suddenly found it was among many other CPUs in a very bright land (sounds like CPU heaven). All the CPUs there were being shown "The Perfect OS". Only it was not in the 2009 or 2011 dates that the article (above) refers to. 2012! Yes the Mayan 2012 date. The end of glitches, the end of all security problems, the end of DRM, the end of................suddenly my CPU found it had landed back into my machine after being in a coma for a few days. It felt hard drives clicking, LEDs blinking, and fans blowing. Taking in a huge inhale the CPU spoke, "Awaken, Windows. Awake!"

hehehe

(If you ever get caught in a "NTLDR IS MISSING" trap where nothing works, including reformating and installing, pm me. I can save you alot of time.)

I'm back! :hi:

actually no. the abort messed my drives in the boot order in the bios. didn't need to wipe or reimage or any of that. when nothing worked I checked the bios. should have checked there 1st. live and learn ;)
I'm such a dummy. also it doesn't help that my neopower 480 is crapping on me too. need to save up for that, new vidcard, more memory. making a chistmas list already  :(
