Yup :D

Go grab it folks and give us all your impression.

Probably the best game of this year, sci-fi first person shooter Crysis is here and you can try the first level of the game in this singleplayer demoversion, together with Sandbox level editor. The full game will hit stores on November 16. The installation file is super huge, 1.8 GB, and will probably take you some time to download.

DX10 is currently the least playable, logging +20fps behind DX9, with little of no difference in graphic quality :foldon2km4: A Quad CPU is highly recommended and decreases loading times dramatically along with boosting fps as this game is more CPU intensive.

Download CRYSIS now.

I got it installed and started the game. However, the 64bit version just crashes here. I have to play the 32bit. Looks cool thus far.

damn, this game is a beast on hardware. On my rig (939 opty @ 2.6 per core, 8800GTX @ 610mhz, X-fi) at my monitor's nat. res. of 1680x1050, getting 32fps on average with everything on medium and no AA. :foldon2km4:

Yup.....to get the best from this game, you really need Quad processing power :foldon2km4:

Damn yeah, at medium settings (this is what the game detected for optimal settings) and only 1440*900 instead of my monitor's native 1680*1050 I'm having some slowdowns. I wish I have a job and some money when Phenom gets affordable...

Well, the second download worked just well for me. Pretty cool game. Yeah, it is a killer on hardware!!!! My quad core machine still slows down with it. I can run it full out with everything on but it is a bit to slow for my taste. So, I took it down to medium and everything runs butter smooth on the highest res. Yeah, MO it crashes for me as well when I try it on the 64 bit version. Must be a problem. Fun game, pretty hard though!!

Runs on full settings here with no lag, good environments, but I get the impression I'm playing Far Cry all over again. God I hated that game!!

Nothing in the demo that blows me away, I was expecting a lot better after waiting so long. Oh well......back to Orange Box :(

After reading that other article (somewhere in the news here, too lazy to go search it), I guess I'll have no use of that Phenom.

Well, I've played it a second time tonight and this time I was able to run at max settings (high, since I'm on XP/DX9) because I had the brilliant idea to turn off AA, which I had previously set to max. Now with no AA at high settings everything's fine. :(

I cant set 'very high' settings for some reason? Limitation with demo or 8800 not good enough?

Tried different resolutions etc....no go :(
