When I go on My windows computer, I click on the internet and the browser comes up, but it will not let me search anywhere. The internet is very very slow. Does anybody know how to make the internet load faster.? Anything that might help make it faster? I tried to download Firefox and that doesn't help.

Without more information is indeed difficult to assist, that said one thing that is very easy to try and may help is to download and run this program, it is free and hasn't ever done me harm, this is assuming your Windows XP is not a 64-bit version which due to the location of this post I feel safe isn't.

If you are uncomfortable about the direct link and have issues trusting the suggestion feel free to read of this program prior to download.

This works for net related issues more times than not and has for years been a great tool.
