nvy has received this from the IT powers that be:

"The planned network maintenance window for tonight is going ahead in approximately one hour (at 10pm PDT). We will be replacing our entire core router with new hardware during that time.

This maintenance window will entail downtime for all services (HTTP, Mail, SSH, Webpanel, etc…) for approximately 30-60 minutes. We are taking steps to minimize the impact of the afteraffects on our servers and we have Admins standing by in the datacenter as well as extra Tech Support staff available for helping you with any problems you might encounter. We ask you to please wait for a network up post here before writing in to support.

We also recommend you postpone any panel changes until after the maintenance window since updates will likely be delayed.

Your continued patience is very appreciated, we are looking forward to putting this past us as well.

Happy DreamHost Late Night Router Replacement Team!" :(

The Slugginshness seems to be affecting the site as a whole, not just posting. When going up from topic level to subforums, it lags noticeably. This is in addition to the lag when posting that others have noticed.

my hunches were correct, and thanks for your reply. Seems the new router didnt help much. The datacenter is looking into the problem and are planning another network maintenance. We'll keep you all posted and please bear with us :(

The upgrade is complete, some small issues remain. How is the site running for you all? Same? Better? Really quick!?

For me it seems really quick!

Yeah, I would say it is a lot faster. I sent a PM earlier which seemed to be a little slow, but other than that much better!!
